Premier League - Torres seeks Spanish recruits

Fernando Torres has revealed he has recommended three of his Spanish compatriots to Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez.

The Spain striker believes the Reds need "small players with quality" to finally wrest the Premier League title from Manchester United and would like Benitez to sign David Silva, Juan Mata or David Villa from Valencia.

"English football is very difficult because it's very physical and played at a high tempo," Torres said. "We have a fantastic team to play against the big teams and we are competitive.

"But maybe against those teams lower down we are not good enough. We have to improve that and I think we can.

"I think we can definitely be stronger at home. We have some very good players but maybe we need other players. I hope Liverpool will bring people like Silva, Mata or Villa. These are small players with quality like United had with Carlos Tevez and also with Paul Scholes.

"They are clever players and maybe they can make the difference. Yossi Benayoun plays like these kind of players and I hope we can bring more like that so then we have different options to play against all the sides."

    of course united will be just fine, it just they will­ never been as before, trademark running of ronaldo from­ his own half or shooting technique and header will be­ miss, but im sure they will get goals from somewhere­ else..

    erm of course at united he won many awards and trophy,­ but if u have watch his game before he came to united u­ know how good he is, at that time very few winger has a­ good skills as him, simao n quaresma came close to his­ level, but both turn out to be disapointing, but to­ said united make him the way he is today, to said that­ he is nothing before he came to united, to said that­ united turn a decent player into star i couldnt agree,­ he might admit it, but its just to buy his fans.­ Honestly i think he will be a star even he choose other­ team than united. the same goes to ruud van nistelrooy,­ what than u want to said? kaka is a product of AC­ milan? Rooney is product of United? etto is product of­ barca? although few could argue bout febregas and­ messi.

After­ Rooney goes to ManU, Everton never has replacement­ until now, but luckily they got a manager as good as­ D.Moyes to minimize the loss.
