Burnley boss Owen Coyle believes Besart Berisha's strike against Accrington can provide the platform for the winger to reignite his career. The Albania international, a £340,000 signing from Hamburg in July 2007, missed the whole of last season due to a cruciate knee ligament injury.
But his comeback gathered momentum in a 3-0 friendly win at the Fraser Eagle Stadium on Saturday to leave Coyle cautiously optimistic.
The Clarets boss said: "I'm pleased for him, the crowd were great with him and he has rewarded them with a great goal.
"Besart has been out for a year and there is no getting away from the fact he is finding it difficult to come back in.
"He scored a wonder goal and hopefully he can take that on and we can help him get back to the level he was at before."
