Cherries ask quartet to stay on

Bournemouth have invited four trialists to spend a further week with the club after impressive displays against Portsmouth and Bristol City.Peterborough goalkeeper Shwan Jalal, Chester midfielder Paul Rutherford and Portsmouth duo Joel Ward and Matt Ritchie have all impressed on trial at the Fitness First Stadium and will continue at the club for further assessment.

The Cherries are currently in Woodbury Park in Devon for four days and will face Dorchester in a friendly on Tuesday evening at the Avenue Stadium.

Fellow trialists Ryan Shotton, Ritchie De Laet, Sammy Igoe, Carl Pettefer, Clydie Roberts, Stephen Maher, John Fletcher and Corrin Brooks-Meade have all left the club.
