Stockport County manager Jim Gannon admitted he was slightly disappointed to be held to a 1-1 draw by Liverpool on Saturday.County had to come from behind to maintain their unbeaten pre-season record when Michael Raynes headed them level, following Gerardo Bruna's opener.
The Liverpool side consisted largely of reserve and young fringe players in a low-key affair at Edgeley Park.
Gannon said: "These games are about fitness and performance, but ultimately it's about learning how to win games.
"We can take a lot of positives from the game but we have a lot of things still to work on.
"We had the majority of possession and chances in the second half, so it was disappointing to end 1-1."
