Middlesbrough striker Mido has set his sights on helping the Premier League club earn a top-half finish ahead of the new season. The Egypt frontman endured an injury-plauged first season on Teesside but is now hoping to be part of a prolific Boro strikeforce this season.
He told the club's official website: "Jeremie Aliadiere, Afonso Alves and Tuncay are all good strikers, they're different players but I'm sure I can fit with all of them as I have the experience and I can adapt myself to the way my partner is playing.
"It's the way the Premier League sides are now, all four of us offer something different and it will give different options and credits for the manager to play with.
"I want to help the side get into Europe. A top-10 finish would be a reasonable target for us and to achieve that would be great."

luxy what the f*** are you going on about mido is a quality player , a good striker when fit who puts in 1000% effort on the pitch and can only do boros cause good , as quality like his is needed when teams want to progress in the premier league . stop moaning about quality players and start supporting them , theres no wonder decent players seem to always want to leave the club when all they hear is di** heads like yyou slagging them off , either shut up or support us properly
What is the @#$% Mdio still doing in Boro. Maybe he will help the club to down down. What he knows best is playing Taekwandoe football. Maybe he left Taekwandoe dor football and he really showed his skills in the game last season against Arsenal's Clitchy when within a minutes of his introduction he got the red. Apart from that he is temperamental and not good off the pitch. He has smearing records capable of dragging club to relegation. I just pray Boro don't go down.
