Lincoln City have bolstered their squad ahead of the new season with the loan signing of striker Kevin Gall from League One outfit Carlisle. The highly-rated 26-year-old, who spent a short spell on loan with Darlington last season, joins the Imps on a six-month loan deal.

Providing all the paper work is signed off, Gall could earn a place in the squad for Tuesday's friendly match against Grimsby.

"I'm delighted that we've managed to get Kevin here for six months because he's been one of my main targets over the summer," boss Peter Jackson told the club's official website.

"He's got a lot of pace and he's the final piece in my jigsaw so it's great to have him on board. He can play down the middle or wide right and he's a very committed player so I'm really looking forward to working with him.

"He turned down a two-year contract at Cheltenham so it's a massive plus for the club and he's going to be a key factor in our promotion campaign."
