we need david silva, hopefully nemeth can step up a bit­ this season, but silva is class, also another striker­ would help as voronin is no where near a top liverpool­ striker...if nemeth gets a 'good' chance and­ steers clear of injury, rafa should play him more, he­ showed in that singapore game he's a bit of­ class...

Shall be glad to see Dossena go, not quick enough for­ the EPL better suited to Serie A. Best of luck to­ Arbeloa, if he gets his wish to go to Real Madrid, as­ he did a job for us.
Lucas, rated by Rafa and Gerrard,­ showed signs at the end of last year and in pre season­ that he's getting over his awe of star players, so­ perhaps the best is yet to come.
Pleased for Pacheco­ & Nemeth (both against Singapore), Kelly (a young­ Carra in the making) and Spearing who all seem to have­ a chance of first team experience this year if their­ performance in Pre season is anything to go­ by.

Quick comments on what I have read here...Babel, Lucas­ & N'Gog, El Zhar..Need another season before­ passing any judgement. Personally I think only Babel­ will ever make it of the four.

Dossena is not @#$% -­ Yes he had a bad season

Anfield Ian - Yes we need­ better youth, that's why Dalglish has been bought­ back to oversee develoment. However Hobbs & Brouwer­ have gone & Degen is 26 years old (hardly a­ prospect) & Nemeth & Plessis don't seem to­ have quite enough to be considered 1st team. Best bets­ would be Spearing (Versatile) & Pacheco who is­ quality but needs more experience.

David Amoo - Looks­ good, nowhere near ready - Better players at the are­ Ryan Flynn(Falkirk Loan) or Adam Hammill

We need to see more juniors/reserves getting to the­ level where they are good enough to slot into the 1st­ team.

If we buy we should buy "names" that­ can deliver otherwise invest in the­ Academy.

Plessis/Hobbs/NGog/Nemeth/Degan/Spearing/Derb­ y/Pacheco/Brouwer/Mendy/Flynn need to be­ developed-mostly overseas players but they can be­ turned into homegrown players or sold for a good­ return.

Whilst inconsistant there is some real talent­ here which will get nurtured under McMahon-and with­ changes coming to the amount of foreign players we can­ field in some competitions we need to put some priority­ into getting the balance right.

we dont need dosena hes @#$% and he cant cross a ball­ ,but ty for the goal against united.arbeloa wont be­ happy with the bench and deggen can cover for johnson­ so get rid.lucas has had his bad moments but he is­ young and getting stonger so give him another season,i­ so want babel to come good he is faster than torres , a­ hard worker and given a chance will be great but i fear­ he mite not get the football he needs at liverpool ,so­ id keep him for 1 ore season,get rid of alnso he wants­ to go and deserves to be let go.he has done enough 4­ us, he is not getting any younger and we will lose him­ eventually so get the 30 mil and sign a top striker or­ right winger

Tom and Patty, dont want to get in a slanging match as­ I'm a pool fan aswell, and yes dossena had a mare­ last season and had to go considering riise was let go­ for playing better and with aurelio and insua doing­ well he wasn't needed..but while i agree with el­ zhar i dont agree with the other 3...babel has­ undoubted potential even rafa said he is a confidence­ player when he signed, last season he was in and out in­ and out, he played well in the thrashing of newcastle 2­ matches later he was dropped thats not going to do his­ confidence any good at all, Lucas is played out of­ position, check youtube rafa says himself when he­ signed lucas he's an attacking midfielder and you­ dont become brazil u21 captain if youre no good.and­ ngog played well when given the chance and despite­ being bit part player scored a few goals for­ us...i'd give him another year at pool then maybe­ loan him out if he's still not ready...I would like­ to see sneijder come though which would free kuyt up as­ a second striker if needed.

We need to sell more of these 'mediocre'­ players and buy more top class.... Babel, Lucas, N­ Gog, El Zahar, etc etc.... None of these players are­ good enough to back up the first team. Reduce the size­ of the squad, but have pure class.
