Bochum goalkeeper Jan Lastuvka has said he aims to impress the Bundesliga club during his one-year loan spell from Shakhthar Donetsk.
The former Fulham shot-stopper has expressed his liking for the German top flight as Bochum begin the new season in fine form. They are currently third behind Bayern Munich and Arminia Bielefeld after claiming a 2-1 home win over Hamburg.
"It was a game played at a great tempo," Lastuvka, 25, told Pravo with regards to the surprising win. "There were not many chances, but the fans must have enjoyed it.
"We have started well. The club management are very excited about the seven points we have picked up and our fans are very excited as well. We have to keep both feet on the ground, though.
"We travel to Hanover in our next match and we might steal some points there, so we'll see.
"So far I am thrilled with how things are in Germany. I have got used to the Bundesliga quickly and I can say that there is not a big difference between it and the Premier League.
"I dare say that German fans are more devoted to football than English ones. The Bundesliga is on TV all the time and plenty of people attend the games that are played at new stadiums.
"It almost makes me sorry that I am here only on a year-long spell from Donetsk. I would love to stay in Germany so I have to perform as best I can to attract interest to myself.
"So far I have also had the luck which I did not have in England."
