USA full-back Francois Viljoen will miss the World Cup after tearing knee ligaments during the Eagles' pre-tournament training camp in Muscatine, Iowa.

Viljoen, who captained the USA during this summer's Churchill Cup, has been replaced by Fijian-born full-back Andrew 'Tui' Osborne.

The USA open their World Cup campaign against England in Lens on September 8.
