Liga - Mourinho reveals bizarre wish
Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho, under fire over an eye-poking incident during a game against Barcelona, believes he should have lived 100 years ago at a time when people were less hypocritical.
The flamboyant Portuguese is being investigated by the Spanish FA after he jabbed a finger into the eye of Barca assistant coach Tito Vilanova during a mass brawl that marred this month's Spanish Super Cup match.
In an interview with daily El Mundo published on Sunday, Mourinho said that these days there were "very few people who have truth as a fundamental principle, non-hypocrisy", something which had existed "during the era of our grandparents and great-grandparents".
"It's precisely the opposite now: people are hypocritical, you don't say what you think, you're not sincere, you're not honest, you think about surviving however you can," the 48-year-old former Chelsea and Internazionale manager added.
"I may be mistaken but I always say what I think, what I feel, without fear of the consequences.
"And not many people accept that. I will never change. Yes, I should have lived 100 years ago."
Mourinho's Real side begin their bid to end Barca's three-year stranglehold on the La Liga title at Real Zaragoza on Sunday, his second season in charge of the nine-times European champions.
Last season was something of a disappointment by his high standards, Real winning only the Copa del Rey as Barca triumphed in the domestic league and the European Champions League.
Mourinho told El Mundo he had no thoughts of leaving what he said was "without doubt the most important club in the world".
"That is not entering my head because this is a unique experience," he said.
"I am satisifed here, very excited. I have the feeling I am in the ideal place. I wouldn't change it for anything.
"I think it was Nietzsche, and this more than 100 years ago, who said that whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. That is what is happening to me".

Barcemoaner has no soul. It's been sold to New York crooks.
The jeewish media corporations hate and persecute everybody, especially if successful.
They somehow in their circumssiced brains think they are flawless and perfect. Creepy Critters.
The truth still remaind that football should not be politicized. We might all have our interest but the truth should be told. It is time we remove favouritism and high level conspiracy
@Chukwueku Akinyemi........i like the the yoruba/igbo mix....respect
l love you Jose, Men like you should have lived 100 hundred years ago. The truth should be said that nothing can be changed soon, when the hypocrites are reaping successes at the expense of the other previledge elites due to their height of indulgence smears and unspeakeable acts of innocent maneuvering in the eyes of the world. Mou you can unleash more and better by bringing more glory to yourself and to medals Madrid, kindly concentrate more to earn your respectful and proof your mettle once again to haters and hypocrites. Hala Madrid! You are the best in the Game! l believe in you!
l love u Jose but l think your temper is taking a heavy toll on your carrier so please check it; and though your the best now you will be better than the best this coming season because you need it thats ur destiny

Some of you are stupid... you better leave His Excellency Sir Special alone.
couldn't agree more - i wish you would've lived 100 years ago too :-)
you leave morinho alone you barca losers. This year is for real wooooooooooo barcas.already 6-0.You will lose tonight
Mourinho will do and say anything just for attention.....he's addicted to drama.
really? this guy wants to talk about sincerity, when he is poking a guy in the eye from behind is seen as sincere? brings up different words to me, coward, spiteful, desperate and so on never mind how he gets his team to play, he feels sorry for him self for the red cards he receives but when your team play dirty you're just inviting a sending off and is lucky he hasnt had more players sent off in games against barca
if these man is right, then, people should be bold enough to give him slaps as well!i'm very sure this egocentric idiot is gonna be beaten up soon.so mouthy.
"People don't want to say or hear the truth" hahaha is this an introduction to a comedy play? Do you actually think Mourinho would be pleased to hear someone tell the truth about him? In recent years, Wenger, Ancelotti, Hiddink, Guardiola, Rafa Benitez, Marcello Lippi, Fabio Capello, Cesar Menotti and Ottmar Hitzfeld have all, to a certain extent, told truths about Mourinho and he wasn't specially pleased to hear them... which gives a clear indication of the worthlessness of the lessons he's giving right now.
real madrid is the best!! always!!
barcelona just s big s#it!! ;)
yes king jose speak on,we are living in a very very devilish and sinful world today, people dont want to say or hear the truth anymore, its really a shameful thing, most of time i get tired of the society we are living in today, carry on jose, always say the truth just the way it is in your heart regardless of what people may say or think,it dosent matter, people are so hypocritical these days, they think something inside their heart and say another with their mouth.what a cruel world, and when someone like mourinho said the truth, all the evil people would be protesting for him to be crusified, shame on this our generation, generation of sin and atrocity, anyone with a clear heart will understand what is behind the seen in barcelona ,one day is always the judgment day and the truth will be revealed,i rest my comment,
Yes tell them Mourinho. Tell those born hypocrites. Tell them to discuss the route cause of the event not the result thereafter. Tell the barca haters and there supporter who are scared to death to face your challenge. They are winning trophies yet they are so scared like rat. Tell them son.
I'm starting to wonder if this guy thinks he's a priest instead of a coach.
Stick to your job Mourinho, coaching, and shut your @#$% trap already.
Do any of you believe that Mourinho means what he says? He may say what he thinks, but his mind deceives him. How does a sermon on hypocrisy follow as an explanation (no apology) for poking a man in the eye? On his terms, perhaps he is not hypocritical. Let's settle for: childish, self-deluded and potentially dangerous. Quoting Nietzsche really? Okay, let's add pseudo and pretentious.
