American cyclist George Hincapie in T-Mobile team

STUTTGART, Germany (AFP) - American cyclist George Hincapie, the former lieutenant to seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong, is one of ten new riders in the German T-Mobile team announced Friday for the 2008 season.

Hincapie, 34, has ridden since 1994 for US teams Motorola, US Postal and finally Discovery Channel, which is set to shut down at the end of the year.

The German team has also been bolstered by Britain's world and Olympic pursuit champion Bradley Wiggins, who comes from Cofidis, Spaniard Vicente Reynes from the Caisse d'Epargne team and 25-year-old Belarussian Kanstantsin Siutsou of the Barloworld team and junior world champion in 2004.

T-Mobile have also taken on a group of riders who are 23-years-old or younger including; Swede Thomas Lovkvist, Italian Morris Possoni, Americans Greg Lewis and John Devine, German Tony Martin and Norwegian Edvald Boasson Hagen.
