Premier League - Team news: Santa Cruz debut?
Eurosport - Mon, 28 Sep 22:14:00 2009
Roque Santa Cruz could make his Manchester City debut in tonight's Premier League encounter with West Ham at Eastlands.
The Paraguay international has been consigned to the sidelines since his £17 million summer move from Blackburn after a knee operation. However, he came through a reserve team encounter with Wrexham unscathed on Wednesday and should be on the bench for the Blues.
Michael Johnson played in the same game and is also available after abdominal trouble, while Stephen Ireland will be assessed by City's medical staff after he was released from hospital on Friday morning after being admitted complaining of dizziness.
Striker Guillermo Franco could make his first appearance for West Ham after arriving on a free transfer.
Zola is hopeful that England defender Matthew Upson will have recovered from a calf injury while Luis Jimenez is also back in training after nursing a thigh strain.
Midfielder Valon Behrami, however, is doubtful with a back injury he suffered in last week's defeat against Liverpool.

In the begining there was light, and god said "let there be sausage rolls" and yay there were sausage rolls aplenty, then god said "let there be Ian dowie" and yay the earth fell under a deep darkness...
Do you know something, now that United are top, i believe this is where they will remain, this will leave chelsea and liverpool flapping around like wet fish beneath them, super splendid !!!!!
Mancity fans must be loving this, liverpool fans were throwing racist jokes and other insults at you guys when you were bought and now they are jumping up and down that they might be bought by oil money, aren't they the model for a hypocrite? Good luck on the game tonight
Neil - nothing wrong with having an educated opinion, just yours isn't (educated). Maybe when you get a little older and wiser....
He doesn't look like father christmas to me !!!
Hey QBS, we're all allowed an opinion, City will end up mid to lower top, West Ham will finish mid table to bottom half fact they always do.
Johnathan W - But one day city will be great, you'll always be ugly and dumb !
Surely someone could start a discussion group for all the dullards out there, you'd need an IQ of less than 80 to qualify - so that's great news for "asanshe" and "neil". I guess you boys must be off school today with consumption or something.... needing something to do. Quite frankly if you have nothing decent to say, don't bother with your purile nonsense.
Attention Sophie and Maggie No.s 5 6 and 7
Go away your mornic women and go cook your teen husbands tea,
Thank goodness there are two episode of Corrie tonight, as mid table football is so boring and should not be live on TV. Sky--make note and get it sorted
