Halls facing late test

Aldershot manager Gary Waddock will hand a late fitness test to midfielder John Halls ahead of the long trip to Torquay.

Halls missed out for the first time this season at the weekend thanks to a groin strain and watched on as the Shots beat Cheltenham 4-1.

Lewis Chalmers took Halls` place in front of the back four and is ready to start again at Plainmoor if required.

Fellow midfielder Scott Donnelly took his tally for the season to six with a David Beckham-esque lob from inside the centre-circle on Saturday and will continue as Waddock`s side look for a third straight win.

Defenders Dean Howell (hip), Adam Hinshelwood (knee) and Andy Sandell (ankle) are all out but Ben Herd returned as a substitute on Saturday after eight games out with a knee problem.

Midfielder Ben Harding (ankle) completes Waddock`s injury list.
