Before today Elton John, Lindsay Lohan and the Beckhams where the only people The Shop would have considered opening at midnight for. But this January we will be giving Harry Redknapp the floor to himself.
The incumbent Tottenham manager is poised like a flush teenager at Bluewater to go on the mother of all splurges and for that reason we shall be rolling out the cockney carpet (it's covered in cockles) and providing 'Arry with an exclusive walk down the aisles. And here's why.
According to The Sun, Redknapp has added Lassana Diarra, Glen Johnson, Sylvain Distin, David James and Peter Crouch to Jermain Defoe on his expanding wishlist of Portsmouth players. Even on-loan Algerian Nadir Belhadj is not safe.
The way he's going, don't be surprised if the man who sounds those infuriating chimes every five minutes at Fratton Park appears at White Hart Lane next year.
But 'Arry aint done there. He's also interested in Ashley Cole's stunt double Wayne Bridge, who is surely tired of missing out on all the big games to Chelsea's ever-popular adulterer - and on Cheryl Cole for that matter.
Elsewhere, Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly lining up a £3 million bid for "Greek wonderkid" Kyriakos Papadopoulos from Olympiakos. The 16-year-old is the youngest player in history to play top-flight football in Greece, and in no way related to the underwear magnate from Dragon's Den with a similar-sounding name.
Finally, over to Fergie's best mate David Moyes, who's thoroughly fed-up with his toothless Everton attack and is considering a raid on Bordeaux's Fernando Cavenaghi.

Good luck Tony
managers switch in and out too quickly these days.. but Redknapp really shouldn't go buy all those Portsmouth players since they weren't doin that grand of a job for him while he was there.. THFC needs talent outside the EPL.. foreigners maybe? or could someone please try to make a decent england academy? home-grown is what's needed if THFC want to be reckoned as a "big club" provided of course they get wins as well lol.. even my boys Man Utd need to bolster their english academy with more english players.. the E in EPL means English so shouldn't their be some english players playing!? god forbid..
Post 41 - dead right; if THFC knew for a year that Barbiedoll was leaving, they should never have sold Defoe.
Post 19 - so you'd rather see THFC relegated than your own team win the treble. What a sad, pathetic pile of @#$% you are. Can't wait for the Russian taxman to come a-visiting. It'll be 15k gates and a cold wind at Stamford Bridge again.
Come on Pompey Fans, think what Harry has done for th Club
before you castigate him.Send him on his way with good grace and hope that he can end his career successfully.
Good luck Harry...............Gerry M
good bye harry, good luck tony, this could be the change we have been waiting for.
adams has played under george graham and wenger, and learnt his trade from harry, the only better education would have been at man utd.
good luck tony adams and joe jordan mr i am the man harry has gone now and to be honest i never wanted him back after leaving for scum , and if players want to follow then let them go for a big fee , as pompey will be forever the players come and go , remember the yak he left pompey for a bigger club to win medals , and what has he won ,well at pompey we had the FA cup , and the yak nothing just greed of money , come on pompey
IN FOOTBALL THERE IS NO PERMANENT FRIEND OR PERMANENT ENEMY BUT THERE IS PERMANENT INTEREST-AND SO POMPEY FANS SHOULD BE EDUCATED TO KNOW THAT YOU MUST MANAGE A BIG CLUB
TO PROVE YOU ARE A SUCCESSFUL MANAGER-STOP JUDAS SLOGAN AND CHEER TONY ADAMS IN ORDER TO AVOID RELEGATION.PERIOD!!!
Nice one "arry" always on about loyalty an over paid players well just like everything else you have contradicted yourself again.Pompey fan all my life an ive seen us down in the lower leagues with players playing for the shirt not their wage packet,so any player who wants to go good riddance.Id rather support a team with true dedicated players and loyal management in any division than support the bo@#oc*s that goes on nowadays.play up pompey eres to the future where ever it maybe.
do not worry you little head , spurs do not need any of your players especially little defunked
who the fuc are they? gonna buy you lot hahaha
who the f*^k are spurs anyway? just a team that's going down and taking harry and any other rats leaving to join a sinking ship with them, rot in hell you bast*^ds- PLAY UP POMPEY- 657
GET READY FOR ONE UP FRONT SADDOES THATS THE ONLY FORMATION HE CAN MAKE WORK. FLOWING FOOTBALL HA HA HA SUNDAY WAS THE FIRST TIME THIS SEASON WE'VE PLAYED ANY FOOTBALL. HARRIES BRILLIANT TACTICS GOT US HAMMERED 6 - 0 AT MAN CITY AND 4 - 0 TWICE AGAINST CHELSEA. STILL AT LEAST YOU WILL ALL BE ABLE TO WORSHIP HIM WHEN HE TELLS YOU HOW GREAT HE IS AND HOW HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO COULD HAVE SAVED YOU. PS DID YOU KNOW HES AN ARSENAL FAN WHY DO YOU THINK WE GOT TONY ADAMS. HA HA HA
I HOPE TOT'NAM GO DOWN!!
Harry will be looking at Diarra, Defoe, Krancjar, James, Johnson. Premier League rules mean he can't get Defoe until the end of the season. Diarra will only go to a big club - something Spurs havn't been for decades. I can't see him wasting his time there when other great clubs will be sniffing around.
I'd question Harry's "big club, great players" logic in moving to Spurs. They are no longer a big club, and as for great players, well, who have they got? David (the new David Beckham) Bentley - what a @#$% - not even fit to clean DB's boots. Modric - Diarra is ten time better. Lennon - another little @#$% in the SWP tradition of running around a lot and achieving absolutely nothing. Ledley King is one player of any quality.
Good luck Tony - Plat Up Pompey!!!
Wouldn't arry rather have Cole, and let Bridge show his full potential from Keith
Defoe would love to come back.
You're Spurs and you know you are!
COYS
poor old pompey they will be down in two years, just like leicester city did when they lost martin o neal...you cant blame arry, you would have done the same thing, money talks now days...i wouldnt call spurs a big club dow....from james

i hope harry goes for diarra and defoe, we desperatly need a holding midfielder and a proper goalscorer, we shouldn't have let defoe go in the first place
Defoe the Yido will hopefully return. Arry is a traditional english manager and will get Spurs playing the football we are used too. These european managers may be good in a foreign country but it doesn't automatically mean that their style of play will always work in The Premier League. Lets hope that we can get out of the drop zone and finish as high as possible.
