Cardiff striker Ross McCormack has been charged with drink-driving, police confirmed.
The 23-year-old Scotland international was arrested following an incident in Cardiff on Sunday and is due to appear before city magistrates on November 9.
McCormack, who joined the Bluebirds from Motherwell in June last year, is understood to have been arrested in the early hours of Sunday.
He had not long returned to the city after his club's 4-3 Coca-Cola Championship win at Sheffield United the previous day.
McCormack, who had just returned to the squad after recovering from a hamstring injury, had appeared as a 79th-minute substitute in the match.
A South Wales Police spokeswoman said: "A 23-year-old man has been charged with drink-driving offences. He will appear in court on November 9."
A Bluebirds spokesman said: "We are not making any official comment because it's a personal matter for Ross."
