Mulgrew offered new Dons deal

Aberdeen boss Mark McGhee revealed Charlie Mulgrew had been offered a new long-term deal.

Full-back Mulgrew, 26, is out of contract at the end of the season and he will be free to commit his future elsewhere from January. But McGhee is determined to ensure the dead-ball specialist remains at Pittodrie.

He said in the Evening Express: "We have made a formal contract offer to Charlie Mulgrew and hopefully he will accept it."

Mulgrew, who joined Aberdeen from Wolves last summer, has seen his stock rise this term thanks to a number of spectacular free-kicks.

  3. Yet again the old firm have to muscle in on everything,­ if all a celtic fan has to do is look up what players­ at other teams are doing, because they happened to play­ for celtic at some point then it really shows the­ intelligence levels.
    for the record Mulgrew is not­ doing that well, neither for that matter is the rest of­ the team. Being able to only take free kicks for a­ defender is laughable and being a defender is the 1st­ thing that should be on his mind. His defendin g is­ rubbish.
