Tranmere chairman Peter Johnson insists the club will take their time picking the right man to replace John Barnes.
Rovers have been managerless since Barnes was sacked at the beginning of the month, with physio Les Parry currently in charge of the League One side.
Johnson told the official website: "The interview process has begun but we won't rush into a decision. We want to make sure we get the right person to take the club forward."
