Stephen Hendry picked up the point he needed to qualify for the Premier League play-offs after a 3-3 draw with Ding Junhui.
The result was means the Scot joins Mark Selby, Joe Perry and Ronnie O'Sullivan in the final four.
Ding, who needed to win the match to pip Hendry to a place in the top four, started well by taking the first frame in Kidderminster with a break of 85.
It kicked off a see-saw contest as Hendry responded with an 88 before Ding moved back in front with a 113 break.
Hendry levelled at 2-2 with another half-century but Ding ensured the play-off place would be decided in the final frame when he took the fifth 72-8.
The pressure was on Hendry to get something in the decider but he did, edging a tense encounter 69-13 thanks to a 38 break.
In the night's first match, Steve Davis picked up his only point of his league campaign with a 3-3 draw against John Higgins .
Davis finishes bottom and will now be relegated to the feeder Championship League.

Both Steven and Ronnie are top players in a class of there own, should make for a great match.
