Latics suffer double blow

Fri 28 Dec, 02:45 PM

Oldham boss John Sheridan will again be missing duo Sean Gregan and Andy Liddell when Walsall make the trip to Boundary Park.Striker Liddell remains sidelined after suffering a setback to his recovery from an Achilles injury, which has already kept him out for six weeks.

Defender Gregan is also out with an Achilles problem but Sheridan has no other concerns as his in-form side seek to extend their 11-match unbeaten run.

The Latics, meanwhile, will be missing key defender Neal Trotman for the FA Cup third round trip to Everton.

Trotman must serve a one-match suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card of the campaign in the goalless draw against Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day.

The 20-year-old is available for the league matches against Walsall and Leeds but will miss out at Goodison Park.
