With another two games to be played in the Premier League's festive programme, we offer double the Fantasy advice in the final edition of Choose 'em, or Lose 'em of 2007 and the first of 2008.
PICK OF THE WEEK
David Bentley (17.51) - Though the price is very high for Bentley, the Englishman has been on song for Rovers of late and played superbly in a 1-0 loss against Chelsea at the weekend before setting up both of Roque Santa Cruz's goals against Man City in midweek. Expect nice things away at Derby and then home to Sunderland if he doesn't spend too much time on the bench.
STRIKERS
Choose 'Em
After a brace at the weekend Nicolas Anelka (17.36) is incredibly costly as the fourth-highest-priced striker, but the French goal-machine is probably worth a splurge with plum ties at Birmingham and at home to pathetic Derby (Anelka scored Bolton's only goal when they visited Pride Park in September). El-Hadji Diouf (12.73), though, is the better bargain for the Trotters.
Depending on your price range all three Manchester United strikers could be worth a go. With matches at West Ham on Saturday and at Old Trafford against Birmingham on New Years Day, Alex Ferguson is sure to rotate the reignited Wayne Rooney (19.47), the already-rested Carlos Tevez (17.91), and the bargain-buy-brace-scoring Louis Saha (12.70). If we had to take one pick, it would be for the big-game Tevez to make a triumphant return to Upton Park.
At 11.49, Benjani is right where he should be and the Zimbabwe international could add to his nine-goal total either against Middlesbrough or away at Reading (remember his treble in Pompey's record-breaking 7-4 win in September).
The time could be now-or-never to pay a half-decent price for Andriy Shevchenko (13.86), whose stock should sky-rocket as he finally begins to shine with Didier Drogba out injured (and then headed to the African Nations Cup at the end of January).
In the bargain bin look at Jermain Defoe (7.85) against Reading and at Aston Villa, David Healy (6.68) at Birmingham and against Chelsea, and Matt Derbyshire (4.14) is still worth a flier at Derby and at home to Sunderland, especially if you cannot afford the stunning Santa Cruz (14.76).
Lose 'Em
Fernando Torres (15.29) has done everything for Liverpool this week, scoring three goals and racking up a whopping 39.50 tally over the yuletide period. Despite decent fixtures at home to Man City and at Wigan, the potent Spaniard is due a rest.
Mark Viduka's (12.05) brace against Derby at the weekend has inflated his price well out of decent range, especially with Sam Allardyce's cautious announcement that Michael Owen is "fit again" for the time being.
In general, avoid Newcastle strikers at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and then at home to a stringent Manchester City defence on January 2.
Despite a dip in price Yakubu (14.55) is still hugely expensive against Arsenal and away at Middlesbrough.
MIDFIELDERS
Choose 'Em
Ryan Giggs (13.11) should come into Man Utd's matches at West Ham and against Birmingham well-rested after a Boxing Day break, and is definitely worth the price, especially if you don't already have Cristiano Ronaldo with his frightening 27.53 fee.
Alexander Hleb is still underpriced at 7.67, while Cesc Fabregas is as closed to underpriced as a 18.35 player comes, and Tomas Rosicky (11.91) rounds out the sweet Arsenal buys, despite a difficult schedule.
With Frank Lampard (19.10) out for two weeks with an injury, Michael Ballack (9.27), Joe Cole (8.06), and even Shaun Wright-Phillips (8.09) suddenly have added value for Chelsea.
Both Aaron Lennon (10.79) and Tom Huddlestone (12.46) played their parts in Spurs' 5-1 rout of Fulham on Boxing Day, and either could continue to aid Tottenham's' revival at home against Reading and away at Aston Villa.
Kevin Nolan (6.65) is worth the price with games away at Sunderland at home to Derby, Brett Emerton (5.99) and the dirt-cheap David Dunn (4.32) also have great games against Derby and Sunderland, and John Utaka (7.69) is excellent value against Boro and Reading.
Lose 'Em
Tim Cahill (13.33) has continued to shine for Everton, but games at home to Arsenal and away at Boro could spell trouble at that price. Mikel Arteta (18.10) has the same problem.
We normally like Elano (11.39), but not at home to Liverpool and away at Newcastle.
As for Toon, it's difficult to pick any of Big Sam's boys at the moment, so avoid the likes of James Milner (10.41) and Charles N'Zogbia (8.84). And please don't pick jailbird Joey Barton - he won't be a free man until three days into January at least.
Finally, West Ham have the worst schedule of the last week of 2007 and first of 2008 with matches away at Old Trafford and at home to Arsenal, so avoid the in-form NolbertoSolano (9.84), the always-tempting Freddie Ljungberg (8.61), and especially the overpriced Scott Parker (10.77).
DEFENDERS
Choose 'Em
Stephen Warnock (7.94) will return from suspension next week and is definitely worth a start at Derby and against Sunderland. As the cheapest player in the league, Aaron Mokoena (1.84) is always worth a look, if only to create room for bigger expenditures.
Jamie Carragher almost scored against Derby and is very much worth a look at 7.49, while Alvaro Arbeloa (6.62) could also be worth a place as Liverpool travel to Manchester City and host Wigan.
Nemanja Vidic (8.85) is always worth a start, but especially this week against West Ham and Birmingham.
As the lowest priced first team regular on the now second-best team in the Premier League, Bacary Sagna (7.51) proves extraordinary value.
The best buy of the week in defence could be Tal Ben-Haim (4.50), who should play in both of Chelsea's games this week after a spate of injuries and suspensions have trimmed Avram Grant's options.
Lose 'Em
Ryan Taylor's price has been artificially-inflated to a whopping 14.95, the highest of any defender, so avoid the Wigan man at all costs despite his game-winning Boxing Day heroics against Newcastle.
William Gallas (10.51) is always tempting with his ability to score big goals, but with tough matches at Everton and at home to West Ham, the Arsenal skipper is just too costly.
Joleon Lescott (11.80) should also be ditched with tough matches against Arsenal and at Boro.
Carlos Bocanegra (4.10) looks like a steal against relegation rivals Birmingham City and injury-ravaged Chelsea, but the American is not worth the risk against either Blues with the Alex McLeish-inspired Birmingham playing much better and Chelsea always a threat to bang in a few goals at the Bridge.
Don't be tempted by the overpriced Lucas Neill (8.84) or any of the other Hammers defenders, who will face the two highest goal-scoring teams in the Premier League against the Red Devils and the Gunners.
GOALKEEPERS
Choose 'Em
Paul Robinson (5.90) is the tenth-lowest priced goalkeeper in the league, but won't likely stay that way for long with the way that Juande Ramos' side has been playing of late.
Remember, 'keepers earn points for wins and draws, so Blackburn's Brad Friedel (7.56) and Bolton's Jussi Jaaskelainen (6.85) - provided he is fit - both look like good ideas at a reasonable price with each facing matches against basement dwellers Derby and Sunderland.
At his current price, Pepe Reina (10.63) is a decent option at Manchester City and at home to Wigan.
With Edwin van der Sar (15.28) still nursing a groin injury, Tomasz Kuszczak (8.17) could be the overall steal of the week with clean-sheet possibilities both at West Ham and at home to Birmingham.
Lose 'Em
Chelsea's 'keeper situation is a nightmare with the injured Petr Cech (14.53) uncertain to play after his disastrous Boxing Day showing against Aston Villa. With second-choice Carlo Cudicini (8.26) also hurt, that leaves the 32-year-old Hilário (8.76), so steer clear of the Blues.
Though we've gone on ad nausea about the hellish week that awaits West Ham, let us reiterate that the Hammers' top 'keeper Robert Green (11.37) is a must-avoid despite the English stopper's likelihood of being forced into many point-accumulating saves against the top two.
Everton's USA number one Tim Howard is not worth his 14.95 price tag, especially with tough matches against Arsenal and at Middlesbrough.
Manchester City's Joe Hart is also too expensive at 11.67 against Liverpool and away at Newcastle.
To round out our normally solid, but this week overpriced, 'keepers, Manuel Almunia (14.03) has a pair of difficult matches to contend with - so keep the Spanish shot-stopping stud well away.
