Serie A outfit Juventus have confirmed the signing of Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko for a fee of £8.2million.The Mali international has signed a deal until the summer of 2008 with the Italian club.

The 23-year-old has struggled for first-team football at Anfield following the loan arrival of Javier Mascherano.

Sissoko arrived from Valencia in July 2005 for £5.3million and made 86 appearance for the Reds, scoring one goal.

But Juve boss Claudio Ranieri has swooped to reinforce his central midfield as he bids to keep pace with Roma and Internazionale at the top of Serie A.
