Arsenal v Newcastle United (19:45)

Tomas Rosicky is sidelined with a hamstring injury and will be replaced by Theo Walcott for the game against Newcastle. Manuel Alumina is set to displace Jens Lehmann in goal while Bacary Sagna also returns to the side. Robin van Persie (thigh), midfielder Denilson (hamstring) and defender Johan Djourou (groin) are all out and Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Eboue and Alex Song are at the African Cup of Nations.

Troubled midfielder Joey Barton is set for a recall to the squad after his bail conditions were changed but Mark Viduka (calf) and Emre (suspension) will not feature. Habib Beye, Abdoulaye Faye, Geremi and Obafemi Martins are on international duty in Ghana.

Bolton Wanderers v Fulham

Gary Megson has the rare luxury of a fully-fit squad to choose from, although he is without El-Hadji Diouf and Abdoulaye Meite who are at the African Cup of Nations. New signings Gretar Steinsson and Matt Taylor are likely to start their second games since moving to Bolton.

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson could hand debuts to new recruits Leon Andreasen and Brede Hangeland, the latter likely to start in the absence of the suspended Dejan Stefanovic. And Jimmy Bullard is in line for his first start of the season after recovering from a knee injury.

Middlesbrough v Wigan Athletic

Tuncay Sanli returns to the Middlesbrough squad after having been rested for the weekend's FA Cup clash with Mansfield as Dong-Gook Lee steps down to the bench. Gary O'Neil also returns after illness, but stopper Emanuel Pogatetz faces a late fitness test after picking up an ankle injury. Jonathan Grounds is on stand-by.

Wigan boss Steve Bruce is set to call up a couple of new signings, with Marlon King and Erik Edman both in contention to feature. Marcus Bent, Emile Heskey, Antoine Sibierski and Julius Aghahowa will fight King for a place in the starting line-up.

Sunderland v Birmingham City

New recruits Rade Prica and Phil Bardsley could feature for Sunderland but Michael Chopra (suspension), Danny Higginbotham, Grant Leadbitter (both broken toe), Ross Wallace (knee ligaments), Kieran Richardson (hamstring), Carlos Edwards (broken leg) and Dickson Etuhu (international duty) are all out.

Scotland international James McFadden could start for the first time for Birmingham having come on as a substitute against Chelsea and Mauro Zarete is set for a place in Alex McLeish's squad. David Murphy is still not yet match fit though and is likely to miss out.
