Amissa Bongo: Charteau takes control
Eritrea's Daniel Teklehaimanot won stage four of La Tropicale Amissa Bongo as Anthony Charteau of France took the overall lead of the race in Gabon.
Europcar's Charteau came in fourth, 24 seconds behind Teklehaimanot, to claim the leader's jersey overnight following the stage from Ndjole to Lambarene.
South African Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg and Adil Jelloul of Morocco split the pair in second and third respectively on the day.
Charteau now has a four-second overall advantage over Quick-Step's Andy Cappelle and seven seconds over third-placed Jelloul.
Saturday's fifth stage sees the riders leave Lambarene and make their way to Kango.
