  3. Ferg, you stupid oaf. You forgot to mention that since Reina could not provide evidence that the other 9 goals has not been scored and that his testimony of only having let in one goal is adjudicated to be false, Reina is henceforth suspended for 800 matches. Additionally, since the TV could also not produce the film to show the 9 goals and base solely on the verbal statement by Evra, BSkyB is fined 50 billion pounds and told to fabricate the film with help from James Cameron and Jon Landau lest they entire management from BSkyB be ordered to polish every blade of grass inside Wembley Stadium in preparation for MU to lift the FA Cup for the next ten years.

  5. The FA have decided to award victory in the FA cup 4th round match to Manchester United this evening having accepted captain Patrice Evra's claim that his team scored 10 times.

Despite 9 of the goals not having been witnessed by the TV, players, crowd or referee, the FA found Evra to be a convincing witness. Conversely Liverpool FC goalkeeper Pepe Reina's testimony was found to be totally unreliable. He admitted conceding one goal but could provide no evidence that the other 9 had not been scored. On the grounds of probability, the FA have concluded that the goals will stand and so United will progress to the 5th round.

Liverpool have 7 days to appeal.

  6. Poetic justice...Kuyt stuffs Evra for winner. However even better would have had Suarez "skin" Evra in the re-play!
Dream result either way...the joy on Suarez's face was wonderful!

  7. If the spitting incident was made up I'm very glad. It would sicken me to think anyone could stoop so low in such a cowardly way. There are internet trolls who'll make anything up. They're also massive cowards. My overall point is, banter not bile is the way forward for Man U & Liverpool.

  8. Hi Robin. Since you brought it up, I do think it’s a shame that Everton were denied a chance of playing in the European cup in ’86 (the year Liverpool won the double). However the team that suffered most as a result of the ban was Liverpool, being the team that won the league most during the ban. We could have had the chance to stretch our 4 outright wins in the competition, at that point, to 7 with Istanbul making it unassailable 8. However, 5 is the number & we can’t change history. Everton rebuilt after our double winning year & snatched back the title in ‘87. So the effects of the ban to them, long term, are often grossly overstated. Unfortunately for them it was mismanagement in the boardroom, which continues to this day, which denied them any tangible success from around 1990 onwards (the FA cup in ’95 & being knocked out at the qualifying stage of the Champions league, no mean feat for a club of their size, notwithstanding). Rip the 39. RIP & justice for the96.

  10. Police confirmed no Man United fans were arrested for spitting on Hillsborough memorial, it was a rumour started on twitter.. So made up.. Every club will have stupid supporters, it's unfortunate but true. Some will always take it too far.
However I agree with Chris R, Suarez should have been banned, apologised, served his ban and Liverpool should have been a more respectful to the situation, as it is a very sensitive issue. The shirt thing was ridiculous.. I don't think Liverpool is a racist club at all but have not helped themselves over the whole evra/suarez issue.. Hopefully they will learn from it.. Liverpool/United rivalry is great and love the passion they have up north for football

  11. On the football:
Possession can't always win football matches. Especially when the opposition manager is a genius too. Kenny's plan worked a treat. Substitutions won it for Liverpool. I think Firgie has always been tactically predictable but he’s usually had more quality players to rely on. Not any more. Once the money has dried up, which will be very soon unless there’s massive investment, Firgie will leave the mess he’s leading the club into for someone else to clean up. As for Liverpool, taking out both Manc clubs means nothing unless we now go on to win both cups. The good news is Kenny’s got us believing again. YNWA

  12. On the S&E incident:
The fact that Evera racially abused Suarez, before Suarez opened his big mouth, is what is angering Liverpool fans. Suarez got an 8 match ban for replying to “Get your hands of me, south American” with the words “why black?”. They should both have been banned for using racist remarks. It was right that Suarez should have been banned, even though I think he was only guilty of ignorance. Evera, later saying; “Suarez is not a racist”, is proof of that. The fans can’t articulate who we’re really angry with (the FA) so they boo Evera. However angry the injustice made us I think we missed an opportunity to be the bigger men. That’s all, not a sin. I think those reds fans who booed should have kept quiet on every Evera touch, again, no big deal but misjudged. Most of us “get it” & have moved on.

  13. On the side show:
    I'm a scouse Liverpool fan.
Well done Liverpool F.C & all but 1 of our fans. I call for a lifetime ban for that dope making monkey gestures. It’s wrong on every level & he'll walk alone.

Well done Man U & all but one of your fans. Spitting on the Hillsborough memorial is unforgivable.

I can’t imagine what the parents of these idiots must feel knowing their sons are such scum.

Let’s get back to banter not bile. Just like Kenny said at full time.

From truenewsflash, on Mon 30 Jan 2:40PM
  14. @ 259. Wow James, you and your colleagues really know how to have a fun time. Of course doing a monkey impression isn’t necessarily a racist act, it all depends on the context. However, black and Asian people have often been likened to monkeys as a way of demeaning them, implying they are less than human. In this case a man was doing a monkey impressions in the context of a match where a black man was booed by a lot of people ostensibly for simply reporting racially offensive comments being directed against him. As such it is not unreasonable to suspect that the man doing the monkey impressions may have been acting in a racist manner although this can only be confirmed by the investigation which I understand is occurring.

Since you mentioned the European Cup earlier let’s just say it’s a shame that the city of Liverpool’s founding club were not allowed to have a go at winning the thing and building on their domestic success through no fault of their own.

From Robin, on Mon 30 Jan 2:24PM
  15. For goodness sake change the record, all we've heard since October is about Evra & Suarez, he's serving his ban paid his fine now move on. Getting really boring now. As for the booing at the game on Saturday, doesn't Ashley Cole get it every week playing for Chelsea, don't hear any complaints then so what the differance. No doubt Suarez will get it everywhere he goes, but of course you will all say thats alright, maybe it is but isn't it time to move on.

James, I'm a Liverpool supporter and agree with you. We were first told Suarez had said "negrito" which is a term of affection (unless said with a snarl, as you say). Later the report claims he said "Negro". That's a problem. Black is the correct term - asked for by Black people. But that's in English! The Spanish for "black" is "negro" - your black T-shirt is "negro". So what does a Spanish person do? What is certain is that Suarez should have been told not to say anything at any time, referring to person's colour, because it's not acceptable here. His Spanish-speaking colleagues should have done that already. He also should have apologised to Evra for the blunder, regardless of the footballing rights or wrongs. Kenny Dalglish is out of order - he has left an impression that he thinks Suarez an injured innocent - and has also refused an apology. Added to Liverpool's unusual lack of Black players, it creates suspicion. Anything else like this and I shall no longer support them

@ james.. Suarez said the name he used was an endearing word, used in his country all the time. Fair enough.. BUT it obviously isn't that endearing when being shouted at you face to face during an arguement. The FA had to react and react quickly.. the one odd occasion in my view they acted appropriately and nipped it in the bud.. I think Liverpool FC behaved badly andn childishly for such an institution. Man Utd and Liverpool are british football and are seen around the world as so. Man Utd kept a lid on it, as it is such a senstive issue as Liverpool should have done. That's why everyone around the coutry was shocked at thier behaviour. Hopefully they will learn from it, I would have expected better from "king" kenny

'the police and all the complainers ARE racist by comparing monkeys to black people, and for accusing him in the first place'. Dear God, i've heard it all now.

Well said paulandkim15, comment 252 but there's no point making reasoned comments to a lot of Liverpoo fans, there really are no other fans like them.

James, if it makes your little life somehow more bearable to believe that United won titles simply by Ronaldo cheating then feel free. I guess you believe that Gerrard never dives (or punches outnumbered DJ's without provovation)
