Managerial reaction from all of Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round ties, with Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish hailing both sets of supporters.

Liverpool 2-1 Manchester United

Kenny Dalglish: "'Why would I be disappointed for Evra? I've been booed (when I played)...I think both sets of fans were a magnificent advert for their clubs. Both clubs can be very proud of the fans they have here. There was a good bit banter between both fans, which is brilliant because you don't want to take that away. I think in the main they were fantastic and the players were a credit to that because none of them tried to do anything other than play football. They (United fans) will be disappointed at losing but they deserve credit for contributing to the occasion."

Sir Alex Ferguson: "To lose the game is hard to believe. We dominated the game and we were comfortable. Our movement off the ball was good and I thought we were in the driving seat. I was looking to win it (by bringing on Javier Hernandez for Paul Scholes). I thought Javier's pace around the edge of the box would be difficult to handle. To lose it is a real sickening blow."

QPR 0-1 Chelsea

Mark Hughes on the pre-match handshakes being cancelled: "There could well have been an issue (with players refusing to shake John Terry's hand) but players make their own decisions.  I said Anton was the guy who had to make his own decisions for himself about whether or not he shook John Terry's hand. With the group I have got I know they wanted to support their team-mate and the situation in the end was to take it out of the equation and not to have the issue. There were discussions this morning as well and Chelsea had their views and basically we all came to the same decision."

Andre Villas-Boas: "It was a wise decision bearing in mind the expectancy that was aroused from the fact that a couple of events could happen in that handshake. It was wise not to do it because it could have an impact on crowd behaviour. Individually from John, it was an excellent performance, very, very focused, managed to get the off-the-field events out of his mind and concentrate on his job."

Brighton and Hove Albion 1-0 Newcastle United

Gus Poyet: "It's incredible how many things have happened already at this stadium and we haven't played here for one year. (Buckley is) unpredictable, when everybody gets a little bit tired he keeps sprinting and going past people. We started well again, we started brave. We kept going for it. After 15 minutes Newcastle got the ball and kept passing it. We got to half-time and then it was a matter of saying let's do the same and then we know something is going to happen for us."

Alan Pardew: "I felt we weren't threatening their goal enough. They defended well, Brighton, to be fair to them. We had a good grip of the game (in the first half), we felt comfortable. We just struggled to get more shots on goal, to get more chances. We haven't had (a penalty awarded) all year so we weren't expecting one today. I can't really fault my players too much in terms of the commitment they have shown."

Hull City 0-1 Crawley Town

Nick Barmby: "I'm disappointed but we were beaten by the better team. You've got to get your head down in these games and realise you're in for a battle and we didn't do that today. We had four shots on target which is not like us at all but Crawley were a strong side. We're out of all the cup competitions now so there's no distractions for us now and we cannot have any excuses. Between now and the end of the season we'll be giving it our best shot."

Steve Evans on a touchline bust-up in which Barmby accused Crawley staff of trying to get Hull players sent off: "I think he's grabbing at straws and he shouldn't say these things. Nick Barmby is an altar boy, is he? I don't think so. He's lost the game because we've come here and outplayed his team. I think we were unlucky not to win by four or five. We came here with three strikers and aiming to be very attack-minded. I think if we had got a second, it would have been embarrassing for Hull."

Bolton Wanderers 2-1 Swansea City

Owen Coyle: "I think Darren has probably been a bit frustrated at times this year. He is known as an attacking midfielder and he has had chances in various games, hitting the woodwork and seeing goalkeepers make good saves. It was great to see him hit the back of the net today and he could have had a hat-trick. We made three changes and Darren was one of them, and it was great to see the energy that he brought to the team."

Brendan Rodgers: "There is no blame attached to (goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel). I feel I have the number one goalkeeper in the league in Michel Vorm and Gerhard offers a wonderful support to him. He doesn't get a lot of game time and he is a good guy. There is certainly no blame attached, but we could have prevented their move for the second goal."

West Bromwich Albion 1-2 Norwich City

Roy Hodgson:  "It is one of those no brainer mistakes and I feel sorry for (Craig Dawson) - and he had not had a bad game up until then. Those errors do occur. I am sad to lose because the performance was one where we did not deserve to lose the game, although we didn't really want to go to Norwich midweek for a replay. But now we can concentrate on our main priority, which is staying in the Premier League."

Paul Lambert: "I thought (Jed Steer's) saves were world class. He was terrific. It is only one game but he has a great temperament and a great enthusiasm for the game as well which is important. He is a really level-headed lad, which is probably more important than anything - but his handling was brilliant. His two saves (at the end) were exceptional."

Derby County 0-2 Stoke City

Nigel Clough: "They're a very difficult side to create chances against. When they went up to Anfield a couple of weeks ago they shut up shop and Liverpool struggled to create chances against them, and we did at times today. But the biggest thing we're aggrieved about is their first goal after five minutes with a player (Jerome) in an offside position. You just hope the Premier League officials would do a little better in that situation."

Tony Pulis: "It was always going to be a tough game as Derby have been on a great run of late. We started well, scored the goal, but then I thought we were sloppy after that, and in the last 20 minutes of the first half Derby played really well and caused us problems. At half-time we dusted a few down and they went out a little more focused in the second half, and we were pleased with that in the respect that I don't think they had a shot."

Sheffield United 0-4 Birmingham City

Danny Wilson: "The first three goals came at a time when we were possibly in the ascendancy. It was great finishing from them. They made the most of their chances. We had similar situations and did not make the most of them and they certainly have made the most of them."

Chris Hughton: "It was a real good all-round performance. I'm as delighted with the clean-sheet and the performance as I am with the goals. We had to weather a bit early in the game. They were certainly a threat but then we got into our rhythm and the timing of our goals was important."

Millwall 1-1 Southampton

Kenny Jackett: "Darius (Henderson) is on a very good run and it was a good finish from him for the goal - he put in a good performance and was a real threat for us. But we didn't do enough off of him, we didn't quite capitalise enough on his skills although I didn't think we deserved to get beaten."

Nigel Adkins: "I thought it was a real good cup tie and we look forward to the replay at our place. A draw was probably a good result in the end. There were waves of pressure coming in from Millwall but I thought Rickie Lambert scored a great goal, it was a great run and he was waiting for the space to open."

Leicester City 2-0 Swindon Town

Nigel Pearson: "We want to see him transfer his goals into the league because the league remains the elusive conundrum in trying to get some consistency. We've had two games in the FA Cup and he's scored five goals, so he's okay. In the last two or three games he has improved. He's been getting into some good positions and is scoring well."

Paolo Di Canio: "It was clear it was a red card (for Leicester's Paul Konchesky). It was a bad tackle. The referee made a mistake. The foot on the leg was very high. We started very shy and then started to play more freely and had chances to draw level. The second half was more difficult after their second goal. We lost a bit of belief and energy."

Blackpool 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Ian Holloway on Keith Southern:  "I gave him the captaincy because he thoroughly deserves it and now he's gone and got another cut - life is a funny thing. He's got somewhere to slip his pyjamas now, I've never seen a gash like it, it's a great big hole. "

Gary Megson: "It was a little bit nip and tuck, we wanted to try and get the result away from home but once we did score we wanted to keep hold of what we've got. One of the problems with the FA Cup for teams like ourselves is each time we get through a round we have to postpone a game and we're near enough playing Tuesday, Saturday for the next few weeks."

Stevenage 1-0 Notts County

Gary Smith: "This finishes off what has been a great week. It is a long time since I have met a group of players so spirited. Some people said there was a lot of pressure on me because the team were on the up but it is nice to come in and win to keep momentum. Those guys still have things to get used to about me but they've been great and settled so quickly."

Martin Allen: "We were very average in the first half but absolutely superb in the second and dominated the game. It is a difficult place to come, they are a very powerful, hard-working, honest team. Until you win your knock-downs and your headers you just get battered. I dealt with them calmly at half-time and they came out and battled for it."
