Cup exit not caused by Tenerife trip - Pardew

Sun, 29 Jan 13:55:01 2012

Alan Pardew refused to blame Newcastle's limp FA Cup display at Brighton on their midweek trip to Tenerife.

Pictures emerged in a newspaper of Pardew and some of his players apparently enjoying the local nightlife at their warm weather training camp, just a few days before they crashed out 1-0 to the npower Championship side.

But Magpies boss Pardew said: "I don't think there is any correlation with that at all, to be honest."
