Harry has choices to make up front

Fri 29 Feb, 10:45 AM

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has Jermain Defoe, Nwankwo Kanu, Milan Baros and John Utaka to pick from up front for Sunday's clash at Everton.Defoe is ineligible for next week's FA Cup quarter final against Manchester United so he is likely to start at Goodison Park as Redknapp may not want to put Kanu at risk ahead of his likely involvement against the Red Devils.

Utaka, who can also play down the centre, has been on African Nations Cup duty but could start a league game for the first time since January 1.

David Nugent is still out with a groin injury and looks set to join Ipswich on loan. Midfielder Pedro Mendes is still out after a minor foot operation.

Kick-off on Sunday is at 4pm.

Pompey (from): James; Johnson, Campbell, Distin, Hreidarsson, Diop, Diarra, Muntari, Kranjcar, Kanu, Defoe, Baros, Utaka, Lauren, Davis, Hughes, Aubey, Ashdown.
