Sturrock: Argyle must be up for it

Fri 29 Feb, 06:31 PM

Plymouth Argyle boss Paul Sturrock insists his players will have to be at their very best if they are to get a result at West Brom on Saturday. The Pilgrims are fifth in the Championship and just three points behind fourth-placed West Brom, who suffered a shock 2-1 home defeat to Hull last weekend.

Sturrock knows the Baggies will be keen to avenge that defeat and is warning his players to expect a backlash at The Hawthorns on Saturday.

"We are going to need to be at the top of our game, if not better, to come away with anything on Saturday," Sturrock told the club's official website.

"We have got to be up for it. We have to be thoughtful when they have got the ball and we have got to do the right things when we have the ball.

"It is a great game for our fans but I don't need to say anything more about them - they have been exceptional away from home all season."
