Celtic can close the gap on SPL leaders Rangers to just one point with victory over Hibernian in the Saturday lunchtime game at Easter Road.
Scotland Under-21 goalkeeper Andy McNeil may make a rare start for fifth-placed Hibs, with Yves Ma-Kalambay (groin) struggling. Captain Rob Jones (hamstring) is a doubt but Colin Nish, who was replaced at half-time against Falkirk with a dead leg, should be passed fit and Abdessalam Benjelloun could return after a hamstring problem.
Striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink has missed Celtic's last two games with a hamstring complaint but is back in training and may replace Georgios Samaras. Boss Gordon Strachan (pictured), who completes a two-match touchline ban, is unlikely to rest players ahead of next week's Champions League clash with Barcelona.
Falkirk (6) v Motherwell (3)
Falkirk have major doubts over defender Jack Ross (ankle) and on-loan Sunderland midfielder Arnau Riera.
Manager John Hughes has promised changes after admitting he got his team selection and tactics wrong for the defeat to Hibernian. Long-term absentees Michael Higdon, Dean Holden and Tim Krul remain sidelined.
Well boss Mark McGhee has no fresh injuries but could make changes. New signing Bob Malcolm could come into the reckoning, while Darren Smith and Jamie Murphy impressed after coming off the bench at Aberdeen.
Gretna (12) v Dundee Utd (4)
Gretna have injury doubts over midfielder Paul Murray and defender Aurelien Collin - long-term absentee Fabian Yantorno remains sidelined.
United give fitness tests to Mark Kerr and Lee Wilkie, who sustained knocks against St Mirren in midweek. Long-term absentees Jon Daly (knee) and Keith Watson (knee) are out but Steven Robb has returned following a hernia and Christian Kalvenes returns to the squad after being rested against the Buddies.
Inverness CT (9) v Hearts (8)
Inverness midfielder Dougie Imrie picked up an injury in the defeat to Celtic but should be fit - and if he is then player-manager Craig Brewster will have a full squad to pick. Defender David Proctor, who had been the only injured Highlanders' player, has recovered from his hamstring problem.
Hearts caretaker manager Stevie Frail has vowed to ring the changes after the 4-0 home loss to Rangers - but influential quartet Laryea Kingston, Andrew Driver, Neil McCann and Michael Stewart are all set to miss out again through injury.
Kilmarnock (11) v St Mirren (10)
Killie goalkeeper Alan Combe and defender David Lilley are back after respective foot and groin problems. Craig Bryson is a doubt with a calf injury but should play, as manager Jim Jefferies ponders changes.
Stephen O'Donnell remains sidelined with a broken metatarsal and Buddies boss Gus MacPherson has named the same squad who were on duty in Wednesday's 1-1 draw at Dundee United. Chris Smith could return in goal in place of Mark Howard after recovering from a glandular illness.
Rangers (1) v Aberdeen (7)
Steven Smith and Andy Webster are in contention for Rangers after recovering from long-term groin and knee injuries respectively, while Jean-Claude Darcheville faces a late fitness test on a hamstring strain.
Aberdeen top scorer Lee Miller could return to the side but Jamie Smith, Richie Byrne, Jackie McNamara, Stuart Duff (all hamstring), Derek Young (knee) and Dan Smith are all still out.
