Sat 29 Mar, 08:15 PM

Max Gradel scored twice late on to keep Bournemouth's slim chances of avoiding relegation alive as they beat Millwall 2-0 at dean Court.Gradel guaranteed Bournemouth a fourth successive home win with a penalty after 75 minutes and a solo finish at the death.

Millwall were the better side for an hour and Bas Savage had a header cleared off the line by Shaun Cooper in the 57th minute. But their best chance came seven minutes later when they were awarded a penalty after a foul by Danny Hollands on Jem Karacan.

But Millwall striker Neil Harris saw his spot kick saved by David Forde diving to his right. Forde made a superb save two minutes later from a free kick by substitute Ahmet Brkovic.

Bournemouth punished Millwall for missing their chances, Brett Pitman hitting a post from 20 yards before Bournemouth were given a penalty in the 75th minute when Sam Vokes was fouled by Paul Robinson.

Gradel made no mistake with the spot kick and a minute from time the tricky winger, on-loan from Leicester, beat three players on the edge of the area before shooting in his 10th of the season.
