Serie A - Mourinho in Beckham jibe

Internazionale coach Jose Mourinho has launched a thinly-veiled attack on David Beckham, accusing the midfielder of only going to America for the money.

Beckham moved to the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2007, becoming one of the highest earning players in the world, but the former Real Madrid and Manchester United midfielder has made little impression on the pitch.

The England international joined AC Milan in January, initially on a short-term loan deal, but his stay at the San Siro has now been extended until the summer, a deal which will see him miss half of the Major League Soccer season.

And Mourinho, who is in the US to view the facilities for Inter's summer tour, has seemingly criticised Beckham's actions.

He said: "What do I think about football in America? It takes more than an important player to make a competition equally important.

"They need people who are not thinking of coming here to take money and then leaving, but people who want to work in this country to insert themselves into American football."

The tour will see Mourinho come up against former club Chelsea for the first time since his departure in 2007, as well as AC Milan and Club America.

  5. I am sorry I forgot. Who was the coach that got the­ premiership title on his first year of coaching the­ club? Was it Venger or Fergusson ...? No no no, it was­ the 'special one' Mourinho! 2 portugal league­ titles, chamions league cup, 2 english league titles­ ... in just 4 years made him the GREATEST, heatherkean!

Another­ one of those green-eyed monsters who cannot stomach­ someone doing well - if you are so great Mourinho why­ then was your span at Chelsea so short-lived eh? Can­ one of your so-called great admirers answer this­ question; I shall await eagerly for an answer.
