Bantams let 13 players go

Bradford manager Stuart McCall has released 13 players as he begins his plans for next season's League Two campaign.The Bantams fell well short of the play-offs this season despite being one of the pre-season favourites in McCall's first season in charge.

And his preparations for his second season have begun in earnest with the announcement of his retained list.

Eddie Johnson, Paul Evans and Darren Williams are among those not offered new contracts by McCall.

They are joined by Craig Bentham, Tom Penford, Scott Phelan, David Brown, Alex Rhodes, Luke Morgan, Damian Hopkins, Donovan Ricketts, Ben Saynor and Jamie Waite in leaving Valley Parade.

But the Bantams boss has offered new deals to Kyle Nix, Barry Conlon, Luke O'Brien, Sean Taylforth and Luke Medley.
