Topp in Chile for for rehabilitation

Tue 29 Apr, 04:00 PM

Bradford striker Willy Topp has returned home to Chile for rehabilitation following surgery to resolve a muscle-tightening condition. The 22-year-old has made 11 appearances, with six starts, but has yet to complete a full 90 minutes for the Bantams since completing a protracted £35,000 move from Universidad Catolica in December.

Topp has struggled with posterior compartment syndrome, which caused him to cramp up during matches, since arriving in England.

He has flown back to South America since undergoing surgery to both calf muscles and is scheduled to return to Valley Parade in time for pre-season training.
