Chester are the latest club to be linked with a move for prolific non-League striker Stuart Fleetwood. The 22-year-old scored 27 goals for Forest Green last term and has attracted interest from a host of Football League clubs - the most high-profile being Charlton - after turning down a new contract at the Blue Square Premier side.
Chester owner Stephen Vaughan told the Evening Leader: "We are aware of Fleetwood's availability and obviously a player with his ability would enhance our squad.
"The player's agent has had discussions with a number of clubs but at this stage it would be premature to reveal whether we will pursue the matter."
