Chesterfield defender Aaron Downes looks set to miss the start of the 2008/09 campaign due to his commitment to the Australian Olympic team.The centre-back is due to represent Australia in the forthcoming Olympic Games in China in August and will miss the Spireites' opening three games in League Two.

The Socceroos' opening match is against Serbia on August 7 with Argentina and the Ivory Coast also in their qualifying group.
