Swansea are holding negotiations with Spanish Segunda Division outfit Granada over the possible transfer of striker Gorka Pintado.The 30-year-old is a target of Swansea boss Roberto Martinez as he plans for next season in the Championship.

Pintado, who is under contract in Spain until 2009, scored 18 goals for Granada last season to catch the eye of Martinez.

And the Spaniard has admitted he would be interested in a move to English football.

"This is the deal of my life and I am very excited by the possibility of playing in England," Pintado told the Spanish media.

However, Swansea - who are understood to be prepared to offer 60,000 euros (£47,000) - will have to meet Granada's 300,000 euros (£236,000) valuation if they are to capture Pintado.
