Crewe coach Steve Holland will use his side's pre-season trip to Bulgaria as an opportunity to introduce younger players to the senior squad.The Alex travel to Bulgaria in early July to take on FC Maritsa, and Holland hopes the trip will prove good preparation for the coming season.

Holland told the club's official website: "Pre-season brings the squad together and that is why five days in Bulgaria will do us good. It will give the new first year pro's the chance to mix with the first team and settle in and hopefully we will be able to integrate our new signings by then too.

"We will work together and work on a team spirit that could serve us well over the course of a season when there are many ups and downs."

He added: "The trip to Bulgaria will bring the whole group together and it will be an important period for everyone."
