Shaun Maloney is considering his Aston Villa future after failing to command a regular place in Martin O'Neill's team.
The Scotland international has been regularly linked with a return to Celtic after leaving Parkhead in a £1million deal in January 2007.
Maloney initially struggled to settle at Aston Villa and half of his 22 appearances in the Premier League last season came from the bench.
The 25-year-old wide man wants to return to Scotland at some point in his career and admits he has some decisions to make during the close season.
"I've got something to think about," Maloney said before boarding a flight to Prague ahead of Scotland's friendly against the Czech Republic.
"I have started to enjoy the club down south but I've just not played and I don't think that's ideal. We will see what happens in the next few months.
"One day I'd like to come back and play in Scotland but I have got a few years left at Villa so we will see what happens."
