Decision due on Rangers' transfer ban

Tue, 29 May 13:44:19 2012

A judge will issue a decision on Rangers' court bid to quash a transfer embargo at 3.30pm today.

Lord Glennie is considering competing arguments made on behalf of the club and the Scottish Football Association following a three-hour hearing at the Court of Session in Edinburgh this morning.

Rangers argue the decision was unlawful as it was not available to the SFA panel that imposed it, but the governing body disputes this and also called into question whether the court had jurisdiction over the matter.

  1. at last the SFA have been shown up for the eejits they are with their attempt at this ban. IT WAS, AND IT STILL IS ILLEGAL BY THE EEC EMPLOYMENT LAWS AS LAID DOWN IN THIS DIRECTIVE. EU legislation Workplace discrimination Directive 2000/78/EC establishes a general framework for equal treatment in employment and occupation, which forbids discrimination based on religion, belief, disability, age and sexual orientation.
