Villarreal striker Nihat Kahveci will miss the start of the club's Champions League campaign, the Primera Liga side have confirmed.Nihat underwent surgery in Valencia on a thigh injury sustained during Turkey's Euro 2008 quarter-final victory against Croatia.
The 28-year-old missed his country's semi-final defeat to Germany and a statement on Villarreal's website has revealed the striker has been ruled out for three to four months.
It was Nihat whose dramatic last-gasp brace against the Czech Republic sent Turkey to a 3-2 win and the Euro 2008 quarter-finals.

nihat is a blow for both villreal and turkey....he is probably one of the most talented turks of all time...good luck to villareal's campaingn but surely they will miss a prolific goal scorer like nihat
