Eurosport - Mon, 29 Jun 14:28:00 2009

Milan have warned Chelsea they have no intention of selling Brazil striker Alexandre Pato.

Reports in England claim that Chelsea are preparing a bid of 60 million euros to lure Pato to Stamford Bridge.

AC Milan club administrator Adriano Galliani believes the Blues would be wasting their time, he said: "We previously received a superior offer to this one (60 million euros) and we already said no to that, so the answer would be no."

Milan are keen to keep Pato at the San Siro having sold Kaka to Real Madrid this month.

Pato finished as Milan's second stop scorer behind his compatriot in Serie A, with 15 goals in 36 league appearances last season.

He is under contract with the Rossoneri outfit until June 2012.

  1. Ahaha, somebody made a comment about "nobody wants to buy Chelsea players", as if Chelsea is willing to sell. I can only laugh at people like you, who claim that Chelsea are a rubbish team, nobody would buy their players. Cfc is not in the position where they have to offload players to carry on, therefore not many rivals will try luring them away. Secondly, i'm more than 100 percent sure that if any member of first team is on last year of his contract, or has decided to leave, his will either get an extension, or join a top European club, and there will be many wishing he joined them. And some people forget that a good manager is also a major factor in the club, with Chelsea and Hiddink as an example. In the position we're in, we need to sign players who will be able to play under different managers; and Pato (imho) seems to be Ancelotti's choice, while Zhirkov could be signed in case Guus comes back, it'd be great for him to have a player who (by the time he comes back) is familiar with Premier League and is certainly a player he enjoys to work with. As for those who mentioned Shevchenko, it is well known that he is a good friend of Abramovich, and his move to Cfc was more of a friendly gesture (despite the fee), than a real signing, and it shows what happens when a manager gets a player he doesn't need. Mourinho simply didn't need Sheva, so he was destined to change clubs again. Same could happen to Zhirkov if Carlo is in charge, or to Pato if Guus is at the helm.

  2. Chelsea needs more players like joe cole, a creative, hard working midfielder/forward. I really thought that last year when we signed deco that he was the missing piece. That didn't turn out. I think pato isn't what chelsea are after, someone like david villa, augero or ribery. One of those players would be great. We already have great finishers in drogba and anelka, all we need now is that creative, hard working midfielder/forward. abo 211 go f@#$ yourself. Chelsea at present are a f@#$ load better then AC milan.

  4. chelsea have to think about the next super star in world football,, i think sergio augero is possibly provide the ideal attacking option for the blues. forget about pato,,he is good but seems to lack the ambitious of developing himself to the level of great footballers.

  5. AS A CHELSEA FAN OF SOME 40YEARS I THINK THESE TEAMS ABROAD ARE TAKEING THE MICKY EVERY TIME WE WANT TO BUY A PLAYER THE INCREASE THE PRICE TWO OR THREE TIMES WHAT HE IS WORTH I THINK WE HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH TALENT AT THE BRIDGE ALREADY AND I HOPE THE DROGBA STAYS.

    # all you chealse fans say AC milan is @#$% team
    # but AC milan has the best players
    # this summer chealse didnt receive any big offers for drogba or anelka so called chealse best players
    # you never be able to compare Chealse with AC MILAN

  11. Pato should stay at Milan. He is a greta player, expecially for his age, and Milan is the squad for him.Everyone loves him there, and Milan is a farrrr better team than Chealsea.Probably Milan is a little bit weak today, but will bounce back.Chealse haven't proven anithing....he won no champions leage, while Milan won the second most, wining 7.So moving to Chelsea from Milan is a very stupid idea.Just look at Shevchenko...he was a good player at Milan,he was the best player in 2003 and after he left to Chelsea,he became nobody and had to return to Milan.

  12. Of course I would like him to join but he wouldnt be my 1st choice and especially not for this cash. I want aguero personally and I hope chelsea dont chase pato for the full summer for it not to happen. learn the lesson from robinho. need to decide what money is available and bid, if the team say no then move on.

zhirkov will sort out the left sided squad, turnbull will sort out the backup keeper situation. a young striker willsort out that are whoever it is. now a young creative mid should be the focus and that would be everything fine in the whole team so lets get these things done as soon as possible. ozil would be a great choice!
