Boro to kick-off the season

Middlesbrough will launch the new Championship season against Sheffield United in front of the television cameras on Friday, August 7.

Boro's opening-day clash at the Riverside has been brought forward 24 hours and will be screened live on Sky Sports.

It will be Gareth Southgate's side's first game back in the second tier following their relegation from the Premier League.
