Leon Constantine has signed a one-year deal with Hereford.

The 6ft 2in striker becomes the first and only forward currently at Edgar Street following a summer clear-out by manager John Trewick which coincided with the departure of loan players.

Constantine was recently released by fellow relegated rivals Northampton, where he made 37 appearances last season. The 31-year-old also spent time on loan at Cheltenham.

Trewick told Hereford's official website: "I'm delighted to welcome Leon to the club. He has proven ability at this level and I am confident he will have a good season for us."
