South African youngster Dean Furman has left Rangers for Oldham.
The 21-year-old midfielder has signed a two-year deal with the Latics, after making just one first-team appearance as a substitute in three years at Ibrox.
Furman had been offered an extended stay with the Clydesdale Bank Premier League champions after impressing during a 33-match loan spell with Bradford last season.
He told his club's official website, www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk: "I was offered a new contract by Rangers but I didn't think I was going to get as much football as I'd have liked.
"The chance to join Oldham came up and straight away I got a good feel for the club. I had my first day training with them today (Monday) and it was great.
"I feel it's time for me to move on because I enjoyed getting first-team football at Bradford last season and I was to keep progressing.
"I am confident I will be able to do that now. I've got no guarantees I'll be playing every week and it's up to me to prove I'm good enough for this team.
"That's a challenge I'm looking forward to and hopefully over the next couple of years I can give my all and establish myself more."

A reminder of news item first posted on this site on May 4.
Ticket Committee Chair Frankie Taylor (Linfield FC) advised the AGM on Friday May 1 that supporters can renew their members or season tickets for next season with immediate effect. Of course applications for new season tickets are welcome also.
Frankie also advised the AGM that supporters can make payment in installments over the months of May, June, July and August to ensure that payment is met in full on September 1st.
Several categories of season ticket were dispensed with to help simplify the administration of what had become an unwieldy system.
The categories of season tickets and their prices for season 2009/10 are as follows
Member / Season Ticket - £140
An increase of £20 - the first increase in several years.
Senior Citizen - £60
An increase of £10 - the first increase in several years
Youth (Age 16-18) - £50
No increase in price
Junior (Age 0-16) - FREE
A reduction of £30

Sherbet, scarf is the same as the gers,so we only need the 1!!
Pt20...If Celtic were in the position Rangers are in then yes I would be very angry.....saying that we where there but got past it with the wee bunnets and the fans cash....Say what u want about Lawell, but this guy, the fans and others at Celtic should be applauded for the work thay have done....faithful through and through
mac ah know big metz is a currant n that but the big guys brand new, one of the decent ones.
HAIL HAIL!
sherbet, metz knows rangers are in a bad way but does not wants to admit it so he thinks going on about the celtic will make it all go away hail hail
stuart ,metz is an angry sad man.u give him an inteligent argument and he does not want to know
Metz old bhoy getting the Linfield scarf oot big guy?
HAIL HAIL!
metz is it that time of the month again ya fud
Never mind Metz the Ipox youth production line of talent will bail you out.....NOT
METZ SOOOOOO FEKIN EASSSSSY
Metz....Regardless of what is thought of the guys u have mentioned....time will tell....Fletcher and Fortune have not refused as yet and at least we are in the market for players...Naka was always going and we have a replacement there with Mizuno...JVOH...I think you will find that most Celtic fans will let him go....My point is, again...nothing from IPOX till the season tickets were sold and then players off, injuries, African cup, no money from sales (although 5 million for Davis will do)no money for to buy players, the bank want at least 6 million by Sept 09 and you are asking me why I wud rather be in Celtics position than Rangers!!!!
#13 devastating repartee, what school did you go to???
Probably you taking the bait,numpty!
