Javier on Juan radar

Barcelona president Juan Laporta has expressed his interest in signing Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano.

The Argentina enforcer is high on the Nou Camp club's summer shopping list and Laporta is hoping that Mascherano's friendship with Leo Messi could prove a deciding factor.

"Mascherano is a close friend of Leo Messi. We will see what happens. He's a player I like very much," Laporta told icat FM.

  8. Outrageous!!! How can Laporta continually be allowed to­ get away with this blatant tapping up of players under­ contract to other clubs. I suppose it's too much to­ expect UEFA to take any action!
