Wycombe striker Jon-Paul Pittman insists his newly-promoted side are raring to go as they prepare for their assault on League One.

Peter Taylor's men return for pre-season training on Wednesday as they prepare for their opening-day clash at Charlton on August 8.

Pittman, who joined Wanderers in January from Crawley, told the club's official website: "I'm sure everyone has their own individual goals and when we get back we will listen to what the gaffer has to say for our goals as a team.

"What I will say, though, is that we will be going for it. I would like to improve on last season.

"Me improving as a player can hopefully coincide with more goals, learning more about the game and a general level of improved performance."
