Rotherham have placed Reuben Reid on the transfer list after the highly-rated striker handed in a written transfer request.

The 20-year-old joined the Millers from Brentford last summer and went on to score 19 goals during the 2008/09 campaign.

He has attracted the attention of several clubs from higher divisions, with MK Dons having already had a £100,000 bid turned down.

In a statement, chief operating officer Paul Douglas confirmed: "After a board meeting it has been reluctantly decided to place Reuben Reid on the transfer list at the player's own request."
