Bournemouth striker Jo Kuffour is expected to be fit for the club's opening League Two fixture with Gillingham, which kicks off on August 9.Kuffour, who was the Cherries' top scorer last season with 14 goals, has returned from a hernia operation in Germany and has resumed training.
Midfielder Danny Hollands is thought to be out for up to six weeks, depending on the results of an arthroscopy on Thursday. The operation will repair a tear in the cartilage of Hollands' left knee.
The only other injured members of Kevin Bond's side, Ryan Garry and Joe Partington, are to be assessed on Friday.
