Chairman Ray Ranson is confident Coventry will complete the signing of right-back Stephen Wright this week.Wright, who is a free agent following his release by Sunderland, is in the Sky Blues squad for Tuesday evening's pre-season friendly at Livingston.

Ranson told the Telegraph: "We have put a proposal to him and he was on the bus going to Scotland, so I would like to think it will get done this week."

Coventry are without a recognised right-back after David McNamee left the club this summer.
