Right back Sergio Ramos has failed to recover from tendinitis and will miss Real Madrid's La Liga season opener against Deportivo Coruna on Saturday.

Central defender Pepe is serving a 10-match ban for his sending off against Getafe last season and striker Ruud van Nistelrooy and midfielder Mahamadou Diarra need more time to recover after lengthy injury lay- offs.

Real coach Manuel Pellegrini does not believe the departure of Dutch pair Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben will disrupt his plans and said the club does not need to buy any more players.

"They (Sneijder and Robben) are very good players but I have no complaint," he said at a news conference. "I have two players for each position and I think the squad is complete," he added when asked whether Real could sign Bayern Munich's French midfielder Franck Ribery.

Brazilian midfield pair Adriano Correia and Renato have not recovered from injury in time to make Sevilla's opening La Liga match at Valencia on Sunday.

"Losing two players like Adriano and Renato has disrupted my plans," coach Manolo Jimenez said, adding that the poor state of the pitch at Valencia's Mestalla Stadium was also a concern.

"We are two of the candidates potentially able to show that there is more to (La Liga) than Real Madrid and Barcelona but possibly this match has come around a little too soon and on a pitch that is not the best," he said.

Villarreal defender Diego Godin injured an ankle in Thursday's Europa League win over NAC Breda but should be fit for Sunday's match at Osasuna.

Fellow defenders Gonzalo Rodriguez and Ivan Marcano are also injured, they added. Rodriguez is a doubt and Marcano is definitely out.
